A woman raises Ajay (Vinod Khanna), the illegitimate child of her husband along with her own son Pratap (Deb Mukherjee), treating them both equally. But when she decides to hand over their property matters to the level-headed and righteous Ajay, notorious Pratap is irked and decides to tarnish his half-brother's reputation. How far will he go? Will Ajay despise his adoptive family or will he go out of his way to help them, despite their lack of trust in him?
