Sunil Kumar is a star cricket player in his hometown of Jhansi. He arrives at Bombay for a job interview and rents a room. His landlord's daughter Geeta initially dislikes Sunil, but after watching him play cricket, she is bowled over. They soon get married and go back to Jhansi. But it is here that problems begin to crop up in their lives, where Sunil's behavior becomes wayward and Geeta begins to question her decision to marry Sunil.
