Manohar, a poor single father who endures tremendous emotional and financial turmoils in life, brings up his daughter Madhavi with great care. He marries her to a city lad Vilas, a professor and the son of a well-known scientist. Madhavi's cozy married life seems to be balancing on a tight rope, as her father-in-law's eccentric anger surfaces, and her husband's relation with his employer takes a romantic turn. Oblivious to the affair and forgiving of her in-law's mistakes, Madhavi stands by them. But when she goes missing, the police investigate her life and some shocking truths begin to surface.
