Kumar Bahadur, a rich inheritor of the Ray family, is a psychologist, hunter, and music lover. He saves a beautiful village woman and becomes her admirer. Kumar changes her name to Madhuri and tries to infuse class and grace into her. However, Madhuri fails to become Kumar's muse, leading to dissatisfaction. After ten years, Kumar marries Sumita, impressing her vocal skills. Sunita's childhood lover Ambar returns, and Kumar becomes jealous. He kills Sunita and Ambar accidentally, causing deep grief and guilt.
