Baikunthu was a wealthy businessman. After his first wife died he married again, this time a very kind-hearted lady. The new wife accepts his two-year son Gokul as her own son. Very soon the couple is blessed with a baby boy and is named Binod. Gokul acts as a responsible elder brother and loves his dear brother. Gokul was an extremely faithful individual and looking at his qualities Baikuntha employs him in the family business. On the other hand Binod excels in his studies and goes out of station to study further. Gokul grows up to be a good businessman while Binod falls into wrong company. Before dying, Baikuntha writes off his property to Gokul and this becomes a major reason for the brothers to fall out. The poor mother is torn between her two sons. The rest of the story is how they reconcile.
