Gangaram Verma (Kader Khan), a municipal officer, is known in the community for his candor. However, his immoral son Vijay (Shakti Kapoor) befools him and renders him homeless by demolishing their ancestral home and constructing a multistoried building in its place. Years later, Vijay's son Ravi (Govinda) finds Gangaram working as a porter and learns about his father’s doings. In a 'as you sow, so shall you reap' move, he severs all ties with his father. Can this family ever reconcile?
