Prakash (Jeetendra), an educated but unemployed youth, struggles to find a job. His ageing father and other members of the family have high hopes from him but he lets them down time and again. One day, Prakash's father passes away without repaying his huge debts and the burden of the family falls on Prakash's shoulders. He is forced to listen to his family's taunts for doing odd jobs to make ends meet. Prakash is now given a chance to pay off his father's debts by selling off the family's only possession, their ancestral house. What will Prakash do?
