Dalal (Kader Khan) exchanges his baby girl with Inspecter Kapil's (Shashi Kapoor) son in the hospital. His criminal partner named D'costa (Ranjeet), who happens to be the owner of the hospital, helps him in the act. Unable to stomach the fact that her child is stolen, Kapil's wife dies of a heart attack. Kapil refuses to look after the baby girl and the matter is taken to court. The court gives the custody of the girl to a woman named Bantho (Aruna Irani), but Kapil is still unable to find his son. He then takes the help of a convict to get to the bottom of this.
